The Pocket is just that, the smallest hi quality, affordable ereader on the market. Everyone knows Sony makes great products, and this is no exception. The Pocket has a 5″ screen size, perfect for someone who wants to take it everywhere with ease and without any hassle.
The screen on this one though small is still very easy to read comfortable from, you can also adjust the font to your liking, the only downside is that since the screen is smaller you’ll turn the pages a bit more, so it can get pretty hectic during a great page-turner!
Overall, this is a great product, Sony has made an inexpensive product that is compact but doesn’t sacrifice any quality or key features from the design. If you want the smallest, best bargain ereader, this is it.

I am thinking of buying one for my niece, however, I don’t know anything about these ereaders. Can you tell me, would she have to BUY the books that get downloaded; or are some free? Thanks

Generally books must be downloaded through an online store, so you have to pay for them. However, before copyright laws were put in place, tons of great classic books were written and are available free, I wrote an article about it on the right hand side – Free public domain books.
Check out some books in one of the public domain links, see if she’d be interested in those, also would be authors publish their novels to try to attract a readership, but you have to search around for these, and the quality of the books vary. So if your niece is into Dickens’ or Shakespeare, she’s in luck. Harry Potter and Twilight, she’ll have to pay for those. Hope that helped! -Kelly
